Building the Natural Garden Tutorial

  • Where to find native plant starter lists for your region
  • How to research those plants and select the best fit for your garden
  • Employ the research to design a garden based on metrics like sociability, longevity, and root type

This class touches on many of the others in one cohesive, over-arching way geared to folks new to natural design or more intermediate gardeners revamping their beds on new ways. We’ll explore online and print resources to learn about native plants for each region, go through the methods Benjamin uses to research plants and select them for his landscapes, then put together a garden plan based on the research flow modeled in this class.
